We once again touch on shame & religion for this one, but in a very facetious manner. I ask god to step into my soul and “make me clean, make me whole” with total sarcasm, using their exact words - it feels like the clarity one finds when they finally “come up for air” & see an abusive sociopath for who they really are (been there myself, unfortunately) - in other words, I wanted to sing about the painful yet delightful yet embarrassing yet weirdly satisfying breakdown of when the facade of religion cracks, piece by piece, and you see it for what it is. If I have what is considered a “filthy heart” by the Catholic church, I must be doing something right.

I started it with a weird, old, fucked up Rhythm Ace drum machine and processed it with a Moogerfooger ring mod and analogue delay, then we went from there.
